About the artist
Based in Strasbourg, France, Tim van den Bos (1999) is convinced that beauty can be found in every corner of the world. Born in Thailand, raised in the Netherlands and having lived in Germany he has experienced first hand that every culture, people and landscape carry their own history.
Within his art, Tim is especially interested in exploring the different places and faces he comes across. For him, every face expresses a story of a life lived, such as their love, ambitions and dreams. Landscapes define the world around us, just as we, in turn, shape them. Constantly transformed by weather and human presence, they both feel eternal and fleeting.
Having obtained a Master’s degree in Western Art History, Tim has a deep appreciation for historic techniques and traditions. Working primarily in oils, watercolors and pencils, he aims to create pieces that feel timeless yet relevant by adapting classical craftsmanship in a contemporary context.
